Operations Director and Co-owner
Kirsty is a music graduate from The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, but returned to Aberdeen in 2009 to join the family business. She started out working in stores, handling orders and learning in intricate detail all about Waverley’s extensive product range. She became co-owner with brother Roger in 2015. Kirsteen is married, she’s a keen hill walker, and is also kept busy at home with two young children and Rosie, the Labrador.
Angela works part time as a member of the Waverley finance team and handles accounts payable.
She is married to ‘the boss’ — Sales Director Roger Kelman — and they have two young sons and two Scottish terriers.
She loves working for Waverley — and handling numbers — and away from the office enjoys socialising with friends, the company of her two Ragdoll cats, quizzes, reading, and watching detective and comedy shows on TV.
She is married with one daughter and has several pets.
Everyone at Waverley works together well, she says, and will help each other out whenever necessary as part of a nice family.
Sandra married the same year she joined the company and she and her husband have a grown-up son. They also have a cat which she describes as a ‘total pain’.
Chris joined Waverley in 2011 and has 12 years’ experience in the cutting tool sector.
He knows the business inside out and as a project engineer is a key link with Waverley’s clients who look to him for guidance and view him as an extra member of their own teams.
Away from work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife on their allotment. They are both passionate gardeners and enjoy growing a wide range of vegetables. Chris is also well known for his home-brewed wines and beers.
He joined Waverley in 2017, quickly felt he was part of a large family, and was immediately impressed by the company’s focus on customer service.
